A new vision for the existing sports centre incorporating a new football centre with three new 3G artificial grass pitches and improved grass and mini soccer pitches – the scheme is part of the Parklife Football Hubs Programme.
In addition, the proposals include the regeneration of the Alpine Ski Centre, a new enclosed racquet sports centre, new family and splash zone, children’s play area, enhanced BMX and trim trails, new grandstand and clubhouse for the athletics track and improvements to the 3G hockey pitches.
A new community hub with changing facilities, café, fitness suite, multi-function rooms, health & well-being and meeting rooms and elevated viewing galleries will be the centre piece of the park to serve all users.
