The redevelopment of Woburn Lane Playing Fields, a redundant playing provision of approximately 10 acres, included a new full size Third Generation Artificial Grass Pitch (3G AGP), extensive natural grass playing pitches and the Radford & Hymas Football Academy.
The project delivered on two distinct objectives for the club:
The scheme incorporated training, education, changing, sports treatment and rehabilitation rooms together with the revenue-earning potential of function suites and catering facilities with the ability to open to the wider community. The income generated through the new community sports pavilion and 3G AGP, provides the club with financial sustainability and long-term security.

“We are really proud of the final outcome of the Woburn Road project - not only is the building a high specification facility that will provide Mansfield Town FC sustainability, but the scheme has also enabled so many local teams to continue and to play
grass roots of football.”

Managing Director, LK2 Sport & Leisure
