The Glasshouse was the first phase of the KP Resort – a holiday destination at Pocklington near York designed by LK2 which incorporates an 18-hole championship golf course, golf club facilities, spa, function room, bar and gourmet restaurant.
The golf club was in decline with poor quality facilities and LK2 produced a new masterplan which transformed the club into a highly successful destination for members and visitors with the Glasshouse elevated at its heart.
The success of the project is largely attributed to the high quality of the architecture with the Glasshouse becoming a destination in its own right, blending a contemporary design using traditional materials at the edge of a woodland setting.
