Gloucestershire FA’s new £1m Football Development Centre will be officially opened on the 8th November 2013 by FA Chairman, Greg Dyke.
The project has benefited from significant Football Foundation investment. LK2 together with Surfacing Standards Limited were responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the project from conception to completion. These included all architectural aspects and sports specific pitch design, together with supplementary business planning and grant aid applications.
Chief Executive, David Neale said that he was delighted “The newly enhanced venue is already providing significant new opportunities for young people in the area as we are now able to offer weekly coaching for girls and disabled players in our two player development centres. In addition, we are also able to provide match and coaching facilities for local youth clubs that will be unaffected by wet weather through the winter months including FA Skills sessions involving up to 60 young people on our new 3G artificial pitch”.
