What a whirlwind the last three months have been for LK2 - and me. In April the firm opened its London office and I was taken on as a regional director to head up the team there.
LK2 has been growing progressively since its inception and has been doing an increasing amount of work in the south. Opening a London office was part of LK2’s strategic growth plan and I jumped at the chance to join this dynamic organisation.
My office is in the popular Alan Baxter building on Cowcross Street, in the heart of Farringdon - an excellent area of London to be based. I’m a stone’s throw from the famous meat market, Smithfields and wedged in between St Paul’s, the Barbican and close to the River Thames, Farringdon is one of those places that is full of life with an abundance of bars, restaurants and a vibrant business sector.
I share my office building with 70 other different organisations within the building and construction environment including architects and urban designers, which makes for a dynamic environment and ideal for networking.
I’ve been meeting contacts from all sectors of the sport and leisure industry and we are working on a number of notable projects in London and the Southern region, with our catchment area spreading down into the South West of England, which has kept me very busy over the last few months.
My first 3 months have flown by and LK2 is in an exciting period of growth and I look forward to leading the southern team on the successful delivery of further great projects.
